Summary

• Accepting Orders: 3-4 weeks
• Payment Collection: Starting immediately. Group Buy end date is the last day for payments.
• Order Submitted the Monday following the Group Buy close. If you have not paid your order will be archived for the next group buy. No Exceptions.
• Order verification and packing at our supplier: 3-4 days
• Shipping time: hopefully 2 weeks or less. Can be as much as 3 weeks from the US
• Unpacking, verification, and repackaging for distribution: 2-3 days
• Pick Up Meets: 2-3 days after receiving the package, continuing for a week or 2 afterwards. Usually at least one meet in Mississauga, and one meet in Scarborough. Shipping can be arranged to wherever you are at additional cost to you.

How The Group Buy Will Work - Details

1) This is the first step - reading this. We will be watching the thread on your club forum and responding to all questions. Please post questions in the thread and we will answer there, so everyone can gain the knowledge. If you have aftermarket tails or corners, it's your responsibility to find out what the bulbs are and tell us what you need - We will assume you have stock housings unless you tell us otherwise!

2) We will update a club order webpage with every participant's order on it and post a link in your club thread. You can verify your order is correct there before you pay.

3) Through this whole process we will be accepting orders and payments. We strongly encourage you to place orders using our website since you receive an email confirmation and we receive an electronic order that reduces errors. We will watch your threads though, or you can email your order to us.

4) At the beginning of the Group Buy we normally target 3-4 weeks for an end date. This gives you enough time to see the bulbs, make decisions, and pay. We often combine orders from a few clubs in order to bring you the discount we've posted prices for. If we need to add more clubs to get sufficient volume, it could move the end date a little later. We will post up when the end date will be, and when the last day to put in orders will be. We will update both our website main page and your thread.

5) On the final day of the group buy, the order will be double checked by us, and submitted to our supplier. From that point, we expect 2-3 business days to have the order picked and shipped. Once the order arrives, we will sort it, confirm it, and schedule pick-up meets. From the time the order is submitted to pick-up meets, we expect 3-4 weeks. We will keep the website and thread updated whenever we learn something new.

*** Most of our communication for the group buy will be done through the forums in one or two main threads, and on the main page of this website. It's your responsibility to watch for updates. Our suggestion is to subscribe to the threads so you don't miss out on important details and announcements. ***

Shipping

Shipping will be charged to you based on physical size and value of your order, and there is NO minimum shipping charge. This way, if you have a smaller order, your shipping cost will be less than someone with a very large order. It's the most fair way we could tkink of to allocate shipping.

The shipping charged to you is your portion of the package being shipped from our supplier to us (Remember, this is a group buy). If you require your specific order to be shipped to you rather than picking it up at a distribution meet, additional shipping charges will apply and will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Payments

Our preferred method of payment is via paypal because it's easier to keep track of and gives us both a record of the transaction. This button will appear beside each order on the web page for your club order. Clicking the button will take you to paypal and will pre-populate the information we need. CDNAutoWorks NEVER sees your credit card number or bank information since payments are made through paypal! Once your payment is made, expect 1-2 days before your payment is reflected on the order sheet. The button will then no longer be available to you, unless your order changes. Make sure you click YOUR button, or you'll be paying for someone else!!

If you don't have a paypal account, NO PROBLEM! You can still pay with Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, or Discover using the paypal link! The details you fill out on the payment screen can then be used to create your Paypal account if you want to. Or not. How easy is that!

Pick Up / Distribution

Pick up meets will be scheduled once the order has arrived and been confirmed by us. Once we receive the order we will do the best we can to meet up in the next few days to sort it through. It's a big job and can take a couple of evenings to get through it, to make sure that YOUR order is re-packed properly. Once we know we received everything we were supposed to, we will schedule pick-up meets, generally with fairly short notice. We will do one or two meets in the west (considering we both live there), and one meet in the east - most likely at Scarborough Town Centre. If you can't make it to a meet, if someone from your club is going that you trust, please ask them to get your order for you, and let us know! Other arrangements can be made if you're unable to make it to a pick-up meet. If you live outside the GTA and want your bulbs mailed to you, we can send them to you, COD.

Installation

For the most part, installation is simply a matter of taking out the old bulb and putting in the new one. If you are getting LED turn signals, you will need to install load equalizers that will make the LED signals blink normally. We can offer advice on installing these, and often can help you install them during a pick-up meet. If you have any questions about installing the bulbs, let us know and we will do our best to help you out.

This is not planned as a single group buy for your club - we intend to offer several opportunities per year to get involved in this, so what we learn now we can pass along on the next round of purchases.
